Recovery happens in relationships — between providers, partners, families, and the brave individuals who choose healing every day.

16 Years in Behavioral Health

Today marks my 16th year working in the field of behavioral health.

When I look back, it's humbling to see how far this industry — and all of us who care deeply about it — have come. From the early days of direct care and community outreach to building partnerships that change lives, this work has never been easy… but it's always been worth it.

"Over these 16 years, I've learned that recovery happens in relationships — between providers, partners, families, and the brave individuals who choose healing every day."

From Direct Care to National Leadership

My journey in behavioral health started on the front lines — in direct care, working face-to-face with individuals navigating some of the most challenging moments of their lives. Those early experiences shaped everything I believe about this industry.

Over the years, I've had the privilege of advancing through community outreach, business development, and ultimately to National VP of Business Development. Each role taught me something new about what it takes to create lasting change in behavioral health.

What 16 Years Has Taught Me

Relationships Are Everything

The strongest organizations in behavioral health are built on trust — between leadership and staff, between providers and referral partners, and between clinicians and the people they serve.

Growth Requires Intentionality

Facilities that thrive don't leave growth to chance. They invest in systems, accountability, and strategic partnerships that create predictable results.

Compassion and Business Acumen Aren't Opposites

The best behavioral health organizations are both mission-driven AND operationally excellent. You can care deeply about people while also running a sustainable business.

Innovation Matters

The field has evolved dramatically, and the organizations willing to embrace new approaches — in technology, consulting, and collaboration — are the ones leading the way.

Continuing the Mission

I'm grateful for every colleague, mentor, and client who's been part of this journey. And I'm more committed than ever to expanding access, innovation, and compassion in behavioral health — through collaboration, technology, and the next generation of consulting solutions.

Here's to continuing the mission — one partnership, one person, one story at a time.
